Fear... of the Future?

"We have nothing to fear but fear itself." - FDR

Why are we so afraid of what may happen to this country? It's written in the Bible, “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." (Matthew 6:34) If we're so afraid of the future why aren't we doing something write now to keep bad from happening later?

My mind is a jumble of confusion, my heart is conflicted, my stomach is in knots.

To act to save this country could be standing up against our government. How do we do this? Do we dare do this? How will they thrash out against us? It's my firm belief that God gave us particular leaders for reasons. Obeying them could be doing wrong, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't SUBMIT to them. As Daniel did, he worked for some truly wicked people in the Bible, but he never turned against them. He sometimes disobeyed them, for example when he prayed and was thrown into the lions' den, but he submitted the authority God had given them.

I believe that people have gotten confused about how we as Christians should act against the government. They wish to overturn the government by any means possible. This is a dangerous mindset, and treasonous to boot. If you fear for the future of our country and think revolutionary thoughts, these may get you somewhere eventually, but as Christians we should NOT embrace fighting and war. There are other ways to try convincing the government of what they are doing wrong. Granted they won't always listen nor care, but trying is key. Let's take a Stand Together and voice our opinions to the world and to our country.
